Crisis

Are you in crisis?

Are you experiencing a crisis and looking for urgent support and help? Because I don’t offer a crisis service I strongly recommend you contact one of the many specialist services available in the UK (I can only make suggestions for the UK). If you want to talk with someone in confidence, your first port of call could be the Samaritans (08457 90 90 90 *). If you’re suicidal, whether or not you already have a relationship with mental health services, I suggest you contact Maytree, a registered charity supporting people in suicidal crisis in a non-medical setting. They offer a free 4-night/5-day stay, and the opportunity to be befriended and heard in complete confidence, without judgement and with compassion and warmth. This can give you a space to talk about your feelings and darkest thoughts in a comfortable home-like setting.

If you’re a woman experiencing domestic abuse please contact the National Domestic Violence helpline run by Women’s Aid and Refuge: 0808 2000 247 **. If you’re LGBT and experiencing domestic abuse please contact Broken Rainbow on 0300 999 5428 or 0800 999 5428 **
